WORKSHOPS – Sundays (11 am-12:30 pm)

Confirmation 1 has 12 Workshops that will be held in person. The schedule of workshops is below.

Grace Passes: All of the above activities are required for all Candidates.  However, there are times when illness, family, or other obligations can prevent a Candidate from attending a scheduled activity.  Therefore, each Candidate will be given 3 Grace Passes to be used during the year.  In order to use this pass, a parent must call Marc Leon prior to the event.  Once a student uses 3 passes, it is expected that he/she will be at every scheduled activity.  Grace Passes cannot be used for Confirmation 1 Retreat.

Confirmation 1 Retreat – March 26-28, 2022

SERVICE HOURS:  Each Confirmation candidate must complete 20 hours of service work per year. Service Hour Sheets must be completed online no later than April 24, 2022.

CONFIRMATION 1 INTERVIEW ON ZOOM:  The week of April 25-28, 2022. An email will be sent in early April 2022 to set up your zoom time. These are held at the end of the 1st year process to make sure all requirements are completed.   This is also a time for you to evaluate the process – so that we can make it more meaningful for future students and sponsors.  We want to know what helped you in your journey and what didn’t and how you might fix it!

YOUTH MINISTRY PROGRAM:  Each year Confirmation Candidates will be expected to attend at least one Youth Ministry Nights (Revelations) and/or Revelations events of their choosing.

SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION: All students are required to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation during both the seasons of Advent and Lent.

SAINT REPORTS: Confirmation 1 Candidates are required to submit information about their Confirmation Name (Saint Name) on or before April 24, 2022.

VIRTUS REQUIREMENT: All parents are strongly recommended to complete the VIRTUS training program (child protection and safety). VIRTUS is a three-hour in-person training that is held throughout the year at St. Joseph Parish and at other parishes in the Archdiocese. You can find out more about VIRTUS and register for training on the VIRTUS website: www.virtus.org
