Kevin Kostelnik. His ministry to us through the priesthood is a shining example of Jesus' Love for each and every one of us, and we offer up prayers of Thanksgiving and Blessing over him this weekend for many more fruitful years of discipleship.

Let Monsignor's words and actions as the Shepherd of our community remind us that God is with us always, and that we should always strive to open our hearts to His intersession for the betterment of ourselves and the World around us.

As we reflect on the great mystery that is the Holy Trinity; Father, Son and Holy Spirit, we gather to celebrate Holy Mass as the Catholic community of St. Joseph's Parish. May the universal love of the Triune God reflect upon the world in our daily lives and actions.

We pray in a continuing and deepening way for peace in our hearts, our families, our communities, our countries, and our World. It is through peace between all of us that we will truly turn our world into the beautiful reflection of God's Holy Image.

On this, the Ascension Sunday of our Easter season we join Msgr. Kevin Kostelnik and the community of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Long Beach for Holy Mass. With all of the violence and tragedy in our World in the recent days and month, we call upon the Holy Spirit to inspire us in our part of bring about the Peace and Unity that our Lord wants to grant to the world. Let our hearts sing out "Come Holy Spirit" and may we open our ears and our hearts to his message and be inspired to do each of our individual parts. Let our prayer be honest and from the bottom of our hearts and let our actions unite with that prayer to bring about positive change for our communities and our world.

This Memorial Day weekend let us truly remember the sacrifices of those who fought for the liberties and freedoms we so often take for granted. In our days this weekend may we pause and ponder those lives lost and sacrificed and what they worked to defend a preserve.

Let us blow the trumpets of peace as we beginning this Holy Week and let our united voices combine together with the world to bring an end to the Russian hostilities against Ukraine. May we each think about the ways we can go about offering our spiritual and physical support for all those suffering from the affects of this war.

As we enter this most Holy of week of our Church year, we join Msgr Kevin, our Deacons and the united community of St. Joseph's in Long Beach to listen to Luke's account of the Passion of our Lord. May we look for our own parts within this story and strive to take up our own personal crosses in honor of our Lord, the Suffering Servant.

We continue to unite with those who seek peace in offering our prayers for the end to hostilities and aggression within Ukraine. Let the Lord of Peace bring unity to the world, understanding to our hearts and healing to those affected by violence.

As our Elect receive the third scrutiny on this Fifth Sunday of Lent, join Msgr. Kevin and the community of believers from St. Joseph's parish in Long Beach, as we reflect on the Gospel story of the adulterous woman, and recognize the ways that we ourselves may judge others when we should be focused on own sinfulness and asking for the Mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ. As part of this, may we all seek the wonderful Sacrament of Reconciliation this Lenten Season to be absolved of our sins (St. Joseph's will have a communal penance service this Tuesday, April 5th).

As the Holy Father consecrates Ukraine and Russia to our blessed mother Mary, we join our prayers to his and those of the world, that in union we might truly reach the promise of peace and love. May all hearts be united as one human body, living in harmony with each other and our world.

We continue to pray for our Elect as they continue with the scrutinies this Fourth Sunday of Lent, as we join Msgr. Kevin and Deacon Tom who explores the well known story of the Prodigal Son. Let us be aware how we are like both the younger and older of the brothers in our own lives.
