NATIONAL SLAVERY AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING AWARENESS MONTH

January has been designated as NATIONAL SLAVERY AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING AWARENESS MONTH. There are millions of slaves on earth today, including millions of children who will never see the inside of a classroom. During this month make an effort to learn something about Modern Day Slavery. Pope Francis states in an address on March 5, 2014 that “It is not possible to remain indifferent before the knowledge that human beings are bought and sold like goods!” The ESTHER Ministry at St. Joseph provides information on how we can become more aware of this crime and ways we can be proactive in making a difference in the lives of victims. Check out the ESTHER bulletin announcement for more information.
